Bought for €180,000 at the 2022 Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale, Occupational Force is a very well-related individual, with his Oscar-sired dam a half-sister to the Grade 1 Cheltenham Festival winner City Island, whilst Occupational Force himself is a full-brother to the impressive four-year-old maiden winner Barry The Butcher. Having made his debut at Cragmore in late January, the Walk In The Park gelding has taken a step forward since then, showing great consistency in finishing placed in each of his four starts following that opening effort. That included a brace of narrow defeats at Kirkistown and Monksgrange, with the Kirkistown effort, in particular, standing out. On that occasion, he was denied by just a half-length, in a race which saw the horses that finished either side of him have subsequently won.
