Au Fleuron is a French bred that put up a big performance in winning on his debut in a competitive looking Tipperary point-to-point bumper where he showed a good deal of pace to hit the front and stride on with just over a quarter of a mile to race. Whilst two well-related rivals did close a furlong out, it did provide him with the opportunity to demonstrate just how much he had left in the tank as he quickly reasserted inside the closing stages to hit the line full of running and win going away by four and a half lengths. This appeared to be a smart display on debut and there would seem to be quite that bit more to come from him.
